Specific Terms

The following terms apply to the Services. If for a specific Service no terms are defined in this list, then the terms specified on user.cscs.ch web page (if any) do apply.

Compute

Computational resources are accessed by submitting jobs to a dedicated queue. The queue is managed by a scheduler implementing CSCS sharing policies. The time every single job will spend in the queue before execution will depend on different parameters including the size in nodes of the job, the specified job length in hours, and the remaining Compute Quota.

In terms of service quality, for a Project, it shall be assumed that no more as a single job will be executed at the same time (indeed, depending on system availability more jobs could run in parallel).
